Alex is an active award-winning pianist based in London. She completed a degree in solo piano at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and also gained her Masters degree with distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London. During her studies, Alex won the Marjorie Thomas Art of Song prize and the Arthur Hervey award, among others. 

In 2021 Alex performed a professional recital at Leeds Lieder Festival. She has enjoyed work with companies such as British Sinfonietta, Waterperry Opera, Royal Academy Opera, Hampstead Garden Opera, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Alex has also collaborated with the BBC Singers, alongside whom she recorded of Jonathan Dove’s The Passing of the Year for the Proms. She has performed at venues including the Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall. Alex is the official pianist for singer Laura Wright.
